Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.

Seeking God means seeking His presence. John Piper notes that practically this involves "...conscious fixing or focusing of our mind’s attention and our heart’s affection on God."

God is great and He is worthy of all worship! The heavens are declaring the glory of God (Psalm 19:1)! He gave His Son so that we could be reconciled to Him and know Him as our Abba Father (Romans 8:15). We are not strangers who simply visit Him or friends who are occasionally invited for a visit. We are His beloved children because of Jesus (John 1:12-13)! We can now boldly enter into His presence for grace and help in our times of struggle and need (Hebrews 4:16).  The glory from being in our Father's presence makes us sing and declare His greatness (Psalm 89:1)!  There is joy and pleasure in His presence (Psalm 16:11)!

When you really know, love and have faith in God, then Matthew 11:23 is an amazing promise!

"Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him."

Our Heavenly Father is all-wise and good! He loves to meet the needs of His children so they can live life as a song of glory and joy to their Heavenly Father, showing the world the incredible worth of Jesus!

If our great God is for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31)?  Even if God's will brings pain, disappointment, failure, or grief we can trust our good and loving Father!  We know that everything He does, He does for His glory and our good. "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword (Romans 8:35)?"

Have faith in God! Go to Him in God-centered, Jesus exalting prayer! Believe and trust Him! Walk continually in His presence--no matter what you are doing. God Himself is our great reward when we do!
