Year of Contentment
“But godliness with contentment is great gain..." 1 Timothy 6:6
Text: 1 Timothy 6:6-10
It’s not difficult to see how greed and materialism invade our culture (and our lives) at every turn. As Christians we’re called to “be holy” (aka, set apart), to be different. How can we do that? By having a lifestyle of contentment we show the world our true riches lie in our relationship with Jesus.
Because our most basic needs are being met (food, clothing, shelter), we are positioned to being enormous amounts of glory to God (our purpose for life).
Philippians 2:4 - "Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others."
