Hey parents!

Awana

Awana will resume Wednesday, January 13th!

Gkids

We will be doing Family Worship Sunday (Kids age 6-5th grade in the service)!

Those with children Age 0-5 can still bring them to Gkids prior to service!

Here is a list of precautions we will take:

1) If you would like your child/children to come you must affirm that they and your family:

a) Are fever free
b) Are not showing any flu like symptoms

These requirements will also be asked as you check-in your children.

2) We will do a temperature check at check-in

In order to help lessen risk for our volunteers, staff, and other children, we will perform an over the forehead temperature check. If your child has a low-grade fever of 100.7 or higher, we will not allow them into the Gkids area.

3) Check-in will be “touch-less”

You will be able to drop off your children starting at 10:20a. This will give our staff and volunteers plenty of time to sanitize the rooms, prepare the lesson, and provide an efficient, safe, and fun experience. As you come to the door, staff will greet you, check you in themselves so you will not need to touch the computer, and direct you to the room.

For GBabies parents are asked to take their children directly to the rooms.
For GPreKids if your child is willing to walk with the staff you will not need to come in (we understand in some cases you may need to go with your child).

4) Toys & cleaning

We will be moving smaller toys out of the rooms to help mitigate what goes into the children’s mouths. Before, during, and after our staff will be cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing all toys and, to the best of their ability, before they get transferred from one child to the other. Our workers and volunteers will be washing their hands before and after holding children, changing diapers, and using toys to play with children. Hand sanitizer will also be in each room and readily available for workers and older children.

Please know that if our county/city COVID-19 case trends change we will reassess and adjust if necessary.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us! We are so looking forward to help you in your journey as you disciple your children!

“…love the Lord your God with all your hear, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

Deuteronomy 6:5-9

WHAT IS GKIDS?

The Children’s Ministry at Grace is made up of four groups... GBabies, GPreKids, GKids and GKids presents Awana.

In GKids, we are committed to leading children to know God and grow in their relationship with Jesus.  Because of this, we strive to create an environment where every child can discover what it means to have an unforgettable relationship with God.  So every week we provide engaging truth, we surround our kids with caring leaders, and we make it fun.

In GKids, we know that one of your greatest concerns is the safety and protection of your children.  Because of the nature of the world we live in, we have several security measures in place.  The most obvious of these is our Sunday check-in system.  Every parent is asked to check-in their children at one of our two convenient check-in locations when they arrive each Sunday.  One is in the children’s area, while the other is in the gym.  All children can be picked up at the counter in the children’s area after the service.

In GBabies, your youngest children experience
the love of Jesus in a clean, caring environment;

In GPreKids, your preschoolers discover
the basic stories of God’s word;

In GKids, your elementary kids learn
to have an everyday-relationship with Jesus;

In Awana, your children engage
the truth of the Bible that can sustain their faith for a lifetime.

Family Worship Sunday

On the first Sunday of every month, we have our K - 5th graders stay in the Worship Service with their families.  This is a time for our families to Worship together and a time for our children to see us praising God as a church. It is an AWESOME opportunity for all of our families to worship together!

On Family Worship Sundays, we also add in some kid-specific elements. This could be a song, a scripture reading, or even having one of our kids help illustrate the message on stage!

Why Family Worship Sunday?

In GBabies, your children age 0-2 experience the love of Jesus in a clean, caring environment.  Should you need to keep your child with you during the service, a cry room is located just off the gymnasium, to the right of the stage.  Because this room has been equipped with a speaker, the service can be heard clearly without the concern that your child is being a distraction to others in the service.

GBabies PARENT INSTRUCTIONS

Moms and Dads, you are essential in helping create a clean, safe nursery.
