Shine The Light
Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart. God...has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:1 & 6).
Are you being tempted to choose bitterness, resentment, or revenge? Do you feel like quitting? Are you in a tight spot where you can't keep everyone happy, so you feel like giving up?
I challenge you to meditate on the following truths from our text in 2 Corinthians 4:
- You have a ministry.
- This ministry has been entrusted to you by the mercy of God.
- God has shone His light into your heart.
- You have seen God's glory.
- He created a new you, giving you an intimate and personal knowledge of Jesus.
- He lives in you by His Spirit.
- Choosing to run from God's call will make you miserable (think Jonah).
- Remember the words of Jesus, how he said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
- Soak in the Son and shine today!
Is there an area of ministry, a relationship, or a personal challenge where you are at risk of become discouraged and "losing heart?"
