Going out into a mean, nasty world with the gospel won't be easy. But Help is available!

Text: John 14:12-17

1. The Holy Spirit equips you for great works of ministry as you obey the Word.
whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works...(verse 12)

• Do you honestly believe this? Why or why not? Read Ephesians 3:20.

2. If you ask God for anything according to His will for the glory of Jesus, He will do it.
Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, (verse 13). If you love Jesus, you will strive to follow His orders (see verse 15).

• Stop right now and ask God for help doing a specific ministry that aligns with His purpose and will.

3. If following Jesus toward greater things feels fearful, stressful, or impossible, trust that you have Help!
and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth (verses 16-17).

• Ask The Helper for help. He lives inside you (verse 17).

You have not because you ask not (James 4:2).
