Remember Jesus
10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, 2 Timothy 2:10a
Text: 2 Timothy 2:8-13
Acts 13:48
"And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed."
Acts 18.
9 And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, 10 for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.” 11 And he stayed a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
God, who ordained the salvation of His elect, also ordained that they would be saved through the preaching of the gospel. Paul had to suffer hardship and preach so that the elect would obtain the salvation that is in Jesus.
We can't derail God's plan! In fact, knowing that God has people in our city who don't yet know Him should motivate us to share the gospel. We should want to be used by God to do His will!
Eternity is forever. And people need Jesus! Our lives, in the best-case scenario, could last 100 years. Will you look to Jesus, humble yourself, release your grip on your idols, and trust the power of God's "unchainable" Word? Share the good news of Jesus with everyone, using your works and your words.
