God of Comfort
Text: 2 Corinthians 1:1-7

God has a sovereign purpose both in our troubles and in the comfort that He gives us in them. If we have experienced God’s comfort in suffering, we are called to support others whose sufferings are like ours.

David Guzik writes, "Often, we never receive the comfort God wants to give us through another person." Pride often keeps us from revealing our needs to others or reaching out to others who are in need. 

Pray and ask God to give you opportunities this week to use your suffering to encourage another believer. Jesus told us that our love for one another would be a powerful display of the gospel, "Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples” (John 13:35).
