Text: John 9:13-25

Jesus offered life in His name (John 20:31). The religious leaders of Jesus' day rejected Jesus and His offer of eternal life because they were blinded by their love of power and the esteem of others. John tells us, "they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God” (John 12:43).

What is blinding you from experiencing life? John also gives us a succinct definition of eternal life in 17:3, "And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."

Romans 10:17 says, “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ.” It cannot be emphasized enough how the study of God’s Word is paramount to knowing God better. God’s Word should be our “delight” (Psalm 119:16, 24).

As I stated yesterday with the "heart" application, we must pray for the grace to see our blind spots. As you pray, honestly ask yourself these three questions?
  1. What am I not believing in Jesus?
  2. What is Jesus saying to me about Himself?
  3. What am I going to do about it?
