"Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!" Psalm 98:4

It's hard to have joy in the middle of everything going in our culture today. It's hard to have joy in the everyday, ordinary, mundane life.

Yet we are commanded to make a joyful noise! To praise God loudly! To sing a new song!

If you find yourself joyless - try reminding yourself of the incredible truth of the gospel:

• "All have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God" - Romans 3:23
• "The wages of sin is death" - Romans 6:23
• "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" - Romans 5:8
• "For we know that Christ, eing raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him" - Romans 6:9
