Jesus: Our Thirst-Quencher

It's a bold claim!
Jesus said whoever drinks the water that he gives will never be thirsty again.
John 7 provides clarification for his water metaphor:
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive..."
Living water is the ministry of the Holy Spirit, flowing out of a heart redeemed by God.
We move toward Jesus and drink; the Holy Spirit resides in us and flows from us, producing life and fruit. We are eternally blessed beyond comprehension and we bring life and light to the world.
- Check your dashboard: Are you experiencing joy, even if you're in the midst of great sorrow or confusion?
- Are you passionately moving toward Jesus to satisfy your thirst?
- Will you admit to God (right now) the specific idols you are tempted to run toward to fill your thirst?
