Let God Be God

Jesus said, "All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out."
Text: John 6:35-37

It’s critical to remember that God is God and He does what He wants and that what He does is true and right because He does it.

In the book of Acts, the Holy Spirit supernaturally empowered the disciples who, just a few days earlier, abandoned Jesus when He was arrested, taken to trial, and crucified. Before He ascended back into heaven, Jesus told the disciples, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8). Once the disciples received the Holy Spirit, everything changed! These men were transformed into bold evangelists and the church saw incredible growth through their leadership.

This same Holy Spirit is in you! He confirms and reminds you of the following truths:
1. You now have peace with God because of Jesus!
2. You are following Jesus. You can trust His leadership.
3. Jesus will never abandon, disown, or give up on you!
4. You've been selected by God to be in His family!

Will you just slow down right now and allow the Holy Spirit to use God's Word to stir your soul and ignite your faith?

If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:31-39).
